Vivo X300 A Compact Flagship Powerhouse

Vivo is preparing to launch its X300 series in China, featuring the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro. The base model stands out for its compact 6.3-inch display—a rare move in the flagship segment. Despite its smaller form factor, the X300 packs serious camera and performance hardware, promising the same imaging excellence Vivo is known for.
The highlight here is the 200MP ISOCELL HPB sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size and f/1.4 aperture, supported by CIPA 4.5-level optical image stabilisation (OIS). Combined with ZEISS tuning and the Dimensity 9500’s Imagiq 1190 ISP, it promises natural skin tones, vibrant detail, and top-tier low-light photography.
Camera Hardware and Imaging

Alongside the main sensor, the Vivo X300 features a 50MP Sony LYT602 periscope telephoto lens. With ZEISS T* coating and APO integration, it reduces flares, reflections, and chromatic aberration. The result? Sharper long-range and portrait shots with accurate colours.
Under the hood, the new Blueprint Extreme Focus Tracking Engine—developed jointly by Vivo, MediaTek, and ZEISS—uses AI-based subject tracking to deliver faster and more reliable autofocus across all lenses.

Performance and Display

The X300 is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, promising flagship-level performance and AI-driven photography enhancements. Its 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel aims to offer high brightness and smooth 120Hz visuals, while keeping the body compact and pocket-friendly.
For users who prefer a smaller device without compromising on speed or photography, this could be one of the most balanced Android flagships this year.
How It Compares

The Vivo X300 is designed to compete with upcoming compact flagships such as:
- OnePlus 15s (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 7,000mAh battery)
- iPhone 17 (6.3-inch, upgraded ultrawide lens but no telephoto)
- Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro (6.27-inch display, similar camera setup)
Compared to the Vivo X200 FE, the new model’s 200MP main sensor and wider aperture will significantly boost clarity and brightness. The re-engineered periscope camera also supports telemacro photography, a feature missing in its predecessor.
Expected Price and Availability
Considering the upgrades, the Vivo X300 is expected to start around ₹70,000–₹75,000 in India, following the Vivo X200’s ₹65,999 launch price. A global rollout, including India, is likely by late 2025.
Verdict: Worth the Wait?
If you’ve been waiting for a compact yet premium camera smartphone, the Vivo X300 could be your best bet. With ZEISS-backed optics, flagship processing power, and a refined compact design, it stands out in a sea of oversized phones.
Add to that the OriginOS 6 update (expected to polish UI design and performance) and Vivo’s long-term camera expertise—this phone looks ready to set a new standard for compact Android flagships.
